EnglishSoup (englishsoup.com) is operated by GreenBridge (그린브리지), represented by Quigley Christopher. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how it is handled.

Information we collect

• Email sign-up: your email address and a password (stored only in securely hashed form).
• Naver login: your email address and nickname, provided by Naver with your consent.
• Kakao login: your nickname, provided by Kakao with your consent. We receive no other profile information.
• Learning records: course enrollments, lesson progress, exercise answers and scores, and flashcard review scheduling — used to run your courses and show your progress.
• Class membership: if you join a class with a code, we record which class you belong to.
• Cookies: only those needed to operate the site — keeping you logged in, security (CSRF), and your language choice. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.

How we use it

• Creating, identifying, and securing your account (email, nickname).
• Delivering courses, exercises, and flashcards, and tracking your progress.
• Contacting you about your account or purchases when necessary.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not post to your Naver or Kakao account or access anything beyond the items listed above.

Where it is stored

Data is stored with our hosting provider (Render, database hosted in Singapore). Course media is delivered through our content network (Bunny.net). These providers process data only on our behalf.

Retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account exists. You may request a copy of your data or delete your account at any time by contacting us; account information and learning records are then deleted, except where a law requires keeping them (for example, commerce records for paid purchases).

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw social-login consent at any time in your Naver or Kakao account settings.
